Sioux Falls, South Dakota

I wouldn't say that the snow covering the car this morning is particularly deep, but it's obviously gone really cold overnight. What snow there is is solid as ice.

It's another long day of driving today and we take the wrong turn off the 80. It's not the end of the world, it heads in the right direction at least.

As we drive through the chilly countryside the birds make their way south in spectacular formations that look like drifting black clouds. It really is blinking cold - it gets down to -1F as we drive to Sioux Falls and end our day at the Super 8.
