24th August 2006

This morning we take a wander around the central city of Hobart, which is a couple of kilometre's downhill from our accommodation. We pop into STA Travel to order our Japan Rail passes and request that they will be sent to another branch on Perth for us to collect in a few weeks. After a fish and chip lunch on the quayside at Fish and Frenzy we head to Salamanca market and arts centre.

After touring the shops we head to a skype zone cafe to do some research on the rest of our trip and then hire a car for the next few days to tour the island. We take a drive around the city, which is very confusing and full of one way systems, when it is about the size of Ruddington and so not necessary and then along the coast a little. After heading back to the B&B we play some cards and then sleep.
